Training Programs

Prudential Grand Valley's commitment to growth is focused on hiring and training new agents. We have developed a system that "almost" guarantees your success in your new career. We have hired over 50 salespeople in the past three years who are new to the business. One of the reasons they came to Prudential is for the new agent training. Here are a few highlights of the programs available for new sales staff.

1. In House Quick Start Program

The OREA phase courses teach you about agency law, contract law, agreements of purchase and sale, building construction and many important subjects. However, they don't teach you how to sell. One of your first programs will be to learn how and where to prospect. Real estate is a "contact" sport and making contacts dictates your success or failure.

We will take several months on a module basis to look at the many ways to prospect and meet buyers and sellers. The concept is, that you would try all the different forms of prospecting, and pick the ones that you like and have the most success through, to continue on with after the training is completed.

2. In House Training Classes

We run weekly or bi-weekly training sessions in groups for new agents. Many topics are discussed, from negotiating offers, technical issues about houses, prospecting and marketing ideas, selling properties with the internet as a tool, and dialogues to use with new customers.

3. Blueprint for Success

When available, we will send you to a 5-day course held once or twice a year annually. The course is written and instructed by highly qualified Prudential trainers. It covers many subjects including listing and buyers presentations, offer presentations, prospecting and presentation skills.

4. PREA Centre and Prudential University

An online virtual reality library of information and courses. You can become an e-certified and market yourself as an Internet savvy realtor. You can become certified in Relocation for people moving in or out of the area corporately.

5. One on One Broker Assistance

A manager is always available to assist you with your needs and questions. We are focused on your success.

6. Quality Service Certification

We believe that an agent's success usually comes from past satisfied customers. Will your past clients rant and rave about the great service you gave them? Our QSC program teaches you how to give outstanding service and build your business by truly being accountable to the client's satisfaction.

7. Monthly Sales Training

Once a month, we bring in a professional sales trainer who spends a half day discussing good sales skills and techniques. Are you good at rapport building? Do you know when to ask the questions? What is your business plan to build your business? These are the questions that our trainer, Marshall Northcott, will address with the group.
